SEE Programme: The Sustainable Enterprises and Economies Programme promotes decent work and social justice through capacity development on sustainable enterprises, social finance, green jobs and local development. The SEE Programme works closely with the ILO Enterprise Department.


Functional responsibilities

Learning objectives:

The intern will be fully integrated in the work of the SEE Programme, contributing to the outputs foreseen in its pipeline.

This will enable the intern to learn about:
• The organization of work
• The setting of priority
• The teamwork within a diverse and dynamic group
• Communication and sensitivity to diversity skills

The intern will become familiar with the SEE training offer that covers the following topics:
* entrepreneurship and enterprise development
* rural development and social economy
* social finance
* responsible business conduct
* green jobs and just transition

In addition, the intern will get acquainted with the tripartite structure of the ILO and its worldwide structure.

Internship Terms of Reference:

Under the supervision of the SEE Programme Manager, the intern will:

  • Contribute to the development and adaptation of digital training materials, including pre-course learning, assessment tools and assignments in the e-campus;
  • Provide inputs towards developing the training activities of the Programme.
  • Be involved in the planning, coordination and execution of training workshops and academies, including logistical arrangements and promotion;
  • Conduct desk research and analysis on topics related to SEE
  • Engage in the facilitation of online or Face-to-Face training activities including design and management of group work and interactive exercises

Qualifications required

Education

University degree or specialization in one of the following subjects: Economics; international development, social studies or related fields

Languages

Full proficiency in English and Arabic.
Good working knowledge of either French, Portuguese or Spanish is an asset.

IT Skills

Excellent command of computer applications. Graphic design and storytelling skills will be highly valued. Knowledge of e-learning tools and video-editing and broadcasting software would be an asset. Knowledge of IT software for design like InDesign, Canva would also be an asset.

Other Skills

Proactivity, flexibility, adaptability, ability to work in team. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in developing countries would be an asset. Ability to work in a team. Sensitivity and understanding of multicultural and diversity issues. Professionalism and reliability, accuracy and attention to details.
