The ACTRAV Programme provides training to empower workers and their organisations using innovative needs-driven training and education activities to promote Just Transition, Social Justice, and Decent Work for All.
The Programme strengthen workers’ knowledge, skills, and competences to forge strategies for transformation and it provides a safe and dynamic space for networking, engagement and solidarity.


Functional responsibilities

Learning objectives:

-Increased understanding of ILO objectives and involvement in the application of ILO policies, standards and programmes especially linked to the Future of Work and 2030 Development Agenda;
- Increased knowledge on the role of capacity development for the fulfilment of the mandate of the ILO and the Bureau for Workers' Activities;
- Improved understanding of labour movement-related issues with primary focus on the listed topics:

1) Industrial Relations and Social Dialogue
2) Agenda 2030 - Decade of Action
3) Future of Work
4) Future of Trade Unions
5) Youth for Future project
6) Communication for Action

Internship Terms of Reference:

The intern's tasks during the internship will consist of the following:

• Desk research, compilation of resource materials, providing inputs in the design and delivery of training activities and training projects
• Assist in the development of needs‑driven learning materials, background notes, and communication tools that promote active engagement among participants.


Qualifications required

Education

Economy, law, political science, sociology, humanities

Languages

English and French or Spanish

IT Skills

MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.) and LMS

Other Skills

Very good research skills, capacity to work in an international, multicultural and multilinguistic working environment, well-organized, focused on timely and precise implementation of tasks; very good writing and overall communication skills.
